Though most wouldn't know it - and outside of Byblos, hardly anyone would recognise the name Camille Cassidy in the first place - up until six years ago, several billion people considered it to be a household name. Kae was born to Karem and Astrid, who once upon a time shared a semi-successful holofilm career, and their only child was thrust into the public eye nearly as soon as she was born.
From the time she was 5, through until she was 13, Kae was a childstar highly popular amongst a decent chunk of Byblos' enormous population, as well as some pockets of success on other planets throughout the galaxy. Then puberty struck and, like so many childstars, Kae decided she'd had enough of the limelight. Her response? Take as much of the fortune she'd accumulated as she could manage and scamper off to Nar Shadda.
It was here that she started wearing dresses - though she'll insist through her shiny white teeth that she enjoys being male and never intends to change - and where she fell the same way as so many teenagers would when left to their own devices with more money than sense. Within four years, all of her money had been spent, with very little to show for it beyond a fair amont of debt.
She's spent the last two years working that debt off as an entertainer for the Hutt she'd gotten indebted to in the first place. It's been fairly comfortable, all things considered. Recently, the Hutt's gotten tangled up in a gang war, and he happens to be on the losing side. It's only a matter of days before he and his henchmen are wiped out, leaving Kae with the choice of going down with the rest of them or finding a new something that'll get her off-planet.
