Background[]
Arina was born on Dee'ja Peak, Naboo to parents Kiran and Isadora Durae. At an early age she realised she didn’t fit in with her parents ideas, they had visions of grandeur and had decided that they wanted their daughter to go and train with the Sith when she was old enough. They trained her and her cousin Ayr Navarr in hand to hand combat and basic defence when they were teenagers. Arina met a Jedi knight in her late childhood, he taught her about the light side of the force, something her parent never explained to her. He gave her a datapad with information about the Jedi, which she kept secret until it went missing one day. It was his belief in her and his conviction that she chose to leave her parents views behind and go to train with the Jedi when the time came.
After a particularly heated argument one day, Arina fled her parents’ house, with the intent of journeying to Yavin VIII with a pilot she had scouted a few days before. This plan backfired as the pilot fled with half of her saving, leaving her without a passage to Yavin VIII. While drowning her sorrows in a nearby cantina, Arina met smuggler Kier Bynar, who, after hearing her story, offered to take her there himself for a price. An uncertain relationship blossomed between the two on the journey, which intensified after they crash-landed on the planet of Myrkr.
Arina and Kier grew closer while he repaired his ship. Arina realised that her feeling for him were deep, however, as Kier had problems expressing his feeling she felt she never really knew where she stood with him. After an argument the pair got as close as they were going to at expressing their feelings for each other.
