Biography[]
Sofia is what is described as a 'Reluctant Imperial'. She's not particularly gun ho about Human Supremacy and as a Doctor, she will treat both aliens and humans equally. On the flip side, while she has been trained to use a gun, she only carries it for her own protection and anyone that threatens her will get a blaster shot to the leg without hesitation. Further threats against her gain them another shot in another extremity. Her accent is very much that of an Imperial, but attitude wise, as she was born and initially raised on Belsavis, Sofia thrives on tougher conditions, though when spoken to, she uses soft tones and while saving a life, she'll hardly speak at all, except for what she needs.
Background[]
Sofia Brynn Karyne was born as Brynn Connilee Janis on Belsavis during the war between the Republic and Galactic Empire. Initially, when the fighting began, her village was kept away from the onslaught, but on one terrible night, when she was around four years old, young Brynn found herself lost and alone, her village destroyed and her family no where to be found. The only other survivor was Senshei Anjis, a young girl a couple of years younger than her. With no hope of survival, Senshei and Brynn did the best they could until they were found by Imperial Admiral Marce Karyn, who took pity on the two girls' plight and sent them both to Bastion to be raised by Admiral Karyn's wife, Lorelli. The girls were formally adopted by Marce and Lorelli a year later and given new names. Brynn became Sofia Karyne while Senshei became Annalise Karyne. Despite their new names, however, the two girls would often call each other by their birth names when in private.
As the years went by, Sofia and Annalise grew into fine, intelligent young women. Annalise joined the Imperial Navy as a pilot while Sofia initially decided to stay away from the Military life and studied to become a Doctor in Medicine. Upon her graduation, the Empire found that she had the highest aptitude scores in her exams and the glowing reports from her superiors and 'encouraged' her to join the Imperial Army.
