Background[]
Born on Csilla, the Capital of the Ascendancy, to Aristocra Loric'orma'kleoni and Kev'ess'alteri; Madoc'leri'kleoni was concealed from Chiss society after his birth. Sequestered in a hidden facility beneath the surface of his icy homeworld, he matured with minimal contact with others of his kind. It was apparent from a young age that he harbored a grudge for his father, who was the one responsible for his segregation. It was explained that his role in the family was that of a Shadow Child and his absense from traditional Chiss society ensured that if the Kleoni line was ever extinguished, he would be around to carry on the Aristocra's legacy. His hatred for his father only continued to grow when his mother passed away and he remarried, producing another heir, Alarik.
At the age of eighteen, twenty-eight in human years, the Aristocra deemed it was time for his son to be moved from Csilla and trained in the art of subterfuge. The Sovereign Galactic Empire agreed to shelter the 'Shadow Child' in exchange for information on the Ascendancy's movements. Thus, Clerik was inducted into Imperial Intelligence at the rank of Agent.
