Biography
Background
Eddic was born on Sulon, one of the moons of the planet Sullust. His family lived on a small homestead on the quiet world, operating a small farm while his father worked as a pilot. In his early teens Eddic had a falling out with his parents and caught a shuttle to the primary world of Sullust. In it's underground cities Eddic learned to fend for himself, possessing almost uncanney instincts that allowed him to survive. He became involved with a large swoop gang and was involved in several minor crimes. The gang eventually expanded it's activity and got involved with the system's larger crime syndicates. Around this time Eddic met a Sullust Security Forces officer by the name of Brind Chaines. Chaines was operating in deep cover amidst the larger crime organizations and took note of Tannen's keen instincts and insight. When it came time to bust the swoop gang Chaines kept Tannen from being arrested and offered him a job. Chaines mentored Eddic and used him in his operations as an assistant until Eddic was old enough to attend SecForce Academy.
Eddic adjusted quickly to his new life, excelling at the Academy and gaining purpose and maturity. He eventually made amends his his parents but remained on Sullust to continue working as a Security Forces officer. His early career mostly had him on a speeder bike handing out tickets, but eventually he was promoted and began work as a deep cover Investigator. During this time he met a Echani woman named Akacia, who he formed a romantic relationship with. Akacia gave Eddic some instruction in the Echani martial arts and they remained close for many years until their respective careers caused them to draw apart. Over the course of his career Eddic lost his left eye while undercover, the nerve damage was so intense it was impossible for him to be fitted with a cybernetic replacement. After this same mission was concluded the evidence Eddic spent months to obtain vanished when a corrupt officer took it from the evidence room, preventing a trial.
After this betrayal Eddic was approached by a group of officers that decided to work outside the system to violently stamp out crime whatever the cost. He joined and began a dark chapter of his life which he rarely if ever discusses. However, Eddic is the only surviving member of that group today. After those events the Sulon born officer was growing disillusioned with the Security Forces when during a sting operation Eddic had a premonition which saved the team from entering a trap. The building still exploded and Eddic reached out with the Force for the first time to save his fellow officers. Discovering his link to the Force he resigned from the Security Forces and journeyed to Yavin VIII. Once there he was accepted into the Jedi Order.
This new chapter of his life has given him new hope and purpose. After undergoing training under Jedi Master Verse Dawnstrider, Eddic constructed his own lightsaber and was bestowed the full rank of a Jedi Knight.
As a Knight, Eddic has continued to serve as a guardian of the Galaxy and instructing Padawans in the ways of the Force. Eddic is fairly unorthodox for a Jedi and completely a product of the Order after it's rebirth with the death of Emperor Palpatine. He often foregoes wearing the traditional Jedi robes and other traditions more closely associated Old Order. Despite a few maverick tendencies, the Sulonese Jedi is dedicated to the spirit of the Jedi Code and the defense of the innocent.
